IMPLEMENTATION OF USER EXPERIENCE IN THE NEW STUDENT ADMISSION INFORMATION SYSTEM

Abstract

The use of information systems is very influential, especially in the world of education, namely to obtain a quantity of students so that the name of the institution can be easily recognized by the public, both those who want to continue their education and those who are just looking for information. The PMB information system is a system used to register prospective students who will enter tertiary institutions. The information conveyed through the system must be used and understood easily by users. Therefore, the level of satisfaction of a system is greatly influenced by ease of use and understanding so that user satisfaction is met. Therefore, an analysis is needed to determine the level of satisfaction of a system. One method that is often used in UX testing is the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). There are 6 scales tested, namely attractiveness (attractiveness), clarity (perspiculty), efficiency (efficiency), precision (dependability), stimulation (stimulation) and novelty (novelty). The data that has been collected is processed using UEQ analysis tools. The aim of this research is to determine the level of user satisfaction with the UNSAP PMB System using a quantitative approach. The sample in this study amounted to 86 people. The research results show that the perspicuity scale has the highest aspect with a value of 1.645, then the efficiency scale is in second place with a value of 1.436, the attractiveness scale has a value of 1.409, the stimulation scale has a value of 1.215, after that The dependability scale has a value of 1.041, and the novelty scale has the lowest aspect with a value of 0.660. It is hoped that the results of the research will provide satisfaction for users in using the system and practical guidance for developers to create a UX design that is easy to use on the Sebelas April University PMB System.
