IMPLEMENTATION OF PROTOTYPE METHOD IN WEB-BASED SMART GROSIR LITE DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

The wholesale industry plays an important role in the distribution of goods, and the goods in question are usually basic food ingredients. In facing the challenges of increasingly fierce competition in this modern era, the use of information technology is the key to increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of various businesses, including wholesale businesses. Not only does the wholesale sector have a large and broad scope, but it also includes the small wholesale business sector. Smart Grosir Lite can also be a solution for wholesale business people who are just starting their business, but want their business to be well managed and organized. Therefore, this research was aimed at designing a web-based goods management system called Smart Grosir Lite by implementing the Prototype Method effectively. The prototype method is a system development method that starts with gathering requirements, then creating an application prototype according to customer needs which consists of a display of the flow of the system to be built. The prototype will be evaluated by the customer so that an application is obtained that suits the customer's needs. It is hoped that the results of this research can contribute to wholesale business managers so that their businesses can be managed and organized well.
