THE IMPACT OF THE APPLICATION OF AI TECHNOLOGY ON HIGH SCHOOL AND UNIVERSITY LEVEL STUDENTS IN TERMS OF INCREASING LEARNING INDEPENDENCE AND ACCESS TO INFORMATION

This study aims to assess the impact of AI technology implementation on high school and university students in terms of increased learning independence and access to information. The study used quantitative methods with a population of 318 high school and college students. The data collection method used was a questionnaire with multiple regression test analysis method. The results showed that the application of AI significantly increased learning independence with a sig value. 0.000 and access to information with a sig.000 value that is smaller than 0.05, where AI facilitates personalization of learning and access to information that supports student autonomy. These findings support the theories of Self-Directed Learning, Constructivism, Information Retrieval, and Personalized Learning, reinforcing the role of AI as a learning tool that facilitates information access and enriches the learning process.
