DESIGNING USER INTERFACE ON ONE SHINE BEADS WEBSITE USING WATERFALL METHOD

One Shine Beads is a micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) engaged in the management and sale of bead-based products. As the business has grown, manual management practices and limited online accessibility have become obstacles to operational efficiency and customer service. This study aims to design a user interface (UI) for a management and sales website that improves operational efficiency and provides customers with convenient access to information and services. The system was developed using the Waterfall method, comprising five sequential stages: requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance, each carried out methodically in accordance with the principles of the Waterfall model. The requirements analysis stage identified the needs of both business owners and customers, which were then translated into interface designs through wireframes and prototypes before being implemented into a functional website. Testing was subsequently conducted to evaluate the usability and functionality of the resulting design. The results show that the developed interface is responsive, easy to use, and aligned with user needs, thereby effectively supporting the digital management and sales processes of One Shine Beads. Several challenges were encountered during development, including limited time availability due to the business owner's demanding schedule and the absence of adequate supporting devices. Despite these constraints, the systematic Waterfall approach successfully produced an effective and reliable UI solution. This research contributes to the digital transformation of MSMEs by optimizing website-based management and sales systems for small-scale bead product businesses.
