In an increasingly advanced digital era, second-hand buying and selling applications are becoming increasingly popular because they support sustainability and waste reduction, although many existing applications still face the obstacle of a less intuitive interface. This research uses the Design Thinking method, which consists of five stages Emphatize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test, to design the UI/UX prototype of the Rangkas application to facilitate buying and selling used goods and reduce waste. The results showed that the Rangkas application prototype had an intuitive, efficient, and satisfying interface. 15 out of 21 users successfully completed the test scenario with the expected time, proving the ease of interface navigation. Positive feedback from users provided recommendations for the development of additional features. In conclusion, the design of the Rangkas application prototype has answered the needs of users, with seller reputation and price being the main factors that influence the decision to buy used goods. Further iteration and development plans are expected to produce a more optimized application and provide the best experience for users.
